Gadgets I can’t Live Without

two computer monitors on a standing desk

Taking the prompt from Emily, a friend I have on Mastodon.

So what are the gadgets that I can’t live without?

Well my dual 27″ monitors, to start. I was working on a 27″, a 16″ laptop screen, and a 20″ monitor. Yuck. I sucked it up and got a second 27″ and now I’m thrilled. I have such a better time focusing too. Imagine that.

Then it’d have to be my 16″ Dell Laptop. Granted, I don’t like Dell’s hardware and I’ve had my issues with it, but it does work well for what I need…. for the most part. LOL

Since I’m a podcaster with a weekly podcast, my Shure MV7 Mic and Lumina WebCam. Both of these are really great. My Shure MV7 Microphone has such great sound. It was such a great upgrade from the Blue Yeti that I had. The Lumina Webcam has such a great video capture and the app, though buggy at times, has some nice features with it.

My iPhone 15 Pro. I can’t live without my phone, even though I prefer to interface via the laptop more, my iPhone is a key driver for me. And the extra oomph of the “Pro” part is worth every penny, in my shutter bug opinion.

The reMarkable Tablet is a game changer. No more dead tree journals for me. The reMarkable Tablet is a great eInk notetaking device and I use it for my daily schedule too. Some days I wish it could run Kindle books, but other than that it’s great.

My Fellowes standing desk. I got this standing desk for FREE off a FREE Stuff local Facebook group. I absolutely love it. It’s prefect for my ADHD brain that needs to stand sometimes.

My Logitech MX Mechanical Keyboard. I love the travel on it and the feel of real keys.

That’s all for now. I’ll be sure to add a software/website edition soon!

    1. @pch @seth Looky? Oh yes I saw your post. Very nice. Haha my profile was on the other monitor!

  1. Thank you for the shoutout, ah I see my profile on your other monitor. I also see you have Windows 11 now. It took me to tweak a bunch of things on my PC to get the upgrade myself.

Logitech is an underrated brand in my opinion. For years I used my Corsair mechanical keyboard but then last year I switched to a more ergonomic one from Logitech and now I type with it efficiently.

    1. It’s my pleasure. I’ve been wanting something to blog about here. So many places to write. But this was the perfect place for this prompt!
