Lots Of Hacking! Secure Your Sites!

For the love of God use two factor authentication when ever you can! So many sites not just WordPress are getting hacked. With this in mind, change your passwords, get a password manager, and randomize your passwords for every service.

I know Passkeys are the latest hotness, but I still haven’t really grasped how to use them and not lock myself out of my services. For that reason, I use an authenticator app (not totally un-hackable) and 2FA.

People in the Web design industry who are not WordPressers are always poking at the WordPress CMS because it’s a vector for bad actors to try and hack. But you know what? It’s the users that are the vectors.

Update your core, update your plugins, and update your themes. ON A REGULAR BASIS!!! You still might get hacked, but less likely.

The more AI comes into reality, the faster the computers and CPUs get to feed the AI monster, the easier it will be to hack using the same computer tech.

What do you think?

  1. @seth 2FA will not protect you from everything. Make sure you use a randomized password on every different site that you use. Use a password manager is the real message here.

Totally agree. Bitwarden ftw with 2fa and strong as hell passwords. Each unique and never gonna remember.
