I built a plugin with help of ChatGPT. It’s a way to make a section on your WordPress site be for updates that go out to the ActivityPub/Mastodon Open Web.
I always liked having my blogs get published to the Open Social Web. But sometimes, I just want to post and update and a not pick a Title, Category, Tags.
I’m working with ChatGPT for this plugin, mainly to see it’s capabilities over Claude. I usually use Claude for most things coding, where I don’t do the coding myself.
Right now it’s called “Open Social Updates” and is at version 0.1.7.
Will I ever release it to the WP Plugin Directory or give it out to people I don’t know? I have no idea.
Right now this plugin scratched an itch. And I’m happy with that.
If you want try it out? I’ll happily share it. But it’s alpha and don’t blame me if it breaks something. 🤪😀
Oh and yes… I know I’m putting this out as a blog post, not a status. 😁
