This is going to be a pissy-rant
FediDeck is something that was needed on the Open Social Web. So I built it with the help of AI.
Yes, AI helped me build it. But to say that I didn’t have a part in the building and the continued maintenance of the app is bullshit and, honestly, hurtful.
I’ve spent hours and hours working to make this product the best it can be.
If you don’t like that AI had a part in it fine. But keep your asinine anti-all-things-AI rhetoric to yourself.
It’s not a zero-sum game here folks. AI isn’t going anywhere and for that matter has been here for a lot longer that many of us realize.
Use or don’t use it. Just remember it’s a tool and should not replace the human in the loop.
It should augment and make building stuff more feasible and doable for people who have and idea and want to bring it to fruition.
