WordPress 7.1 looks really good. Not ready for what it breaks. 🤪😒🤔😁
Yep! A Must Watch!
AI is here to stay. How you work with it is what matters.
Resharing this here. It has already been shared in multiple places, so why not here.
WordPress 7.1 comes out tomorrow. There are some nifty little features in this release. Though you might want to stagger your release schedule when you do updates to multiple sites to make sure it doesn’t break anything. #WordPress
I will add this… this is all happening while #WCUS (WordCamp US) is going on in Phoenix, AZ.
A great keynote from Bo English-Wczling of PayPal talking at #WCUS 2026 in Phoenix, AZ.
Their whole talk is really good about how to correctly use AI as a developer and how it applies to the WordPress ecosystem.

So many stories in the press now-a-days are citing people who want to be anonymous. When I was a journalist in the late 00’s, it had to be a really good reason to stay anonymous. Now it’s commonplace. So many things have changed since I was in journalism. Not always for the better.

I get why people don’t like AI coding. But I also don’t like hunting around for a plugin for my WordPress site that has more features than I need and might even cost money for something that’s really simple.
This little plugin I made is exactly that. I wanted a updates area on my site that didn’t mangle my blog area up and would publish to the Fediverse as a simple update.
Right now it works for me. Not sure if I’ll make it publicly available.
In the end, I still needed to be able to explain to, in this case ChatGPT, what I wanted. So it wasn’t a one shot, prompt-and-go process at all.

Let’s see if the title is gone on these updates.
So… I’m at v. 0.1.5 of my little update posting app for my WordPress site.
Doing a little jig.
Testing 0.1.4 –> feel free to reply!
